Sounds like a hotel we stayed at in Texas and them 'roaches' well they are Texans too. I can handle bugs as a rule, but when they forage in numbers I tuck my tail and get out my Kimber to no avail and beat a quick retreat strategically warranted re-evaluation ... better to fight another day. Maybe a bazooka would be better hahaha. Looking fwd. to further details.

Your hotel room sounds like an apartment we had in Presidio. I really hate roaches, and that "Creepshow" vignette with E. G> Marshall did not help matters.

I see we focused on the same thing.  Must be a primal fear for homo-sapiens. ;-)

I am not very tough. Cockroaches freak me out.

Heat doesn't agree with me either. And I am afraid of the dark. Finally, I am a city boy and fear the countryside.

Ideal holidays for me those were.

From the sound of it, you were trying to conquer several fears at once!

Yeah, one at a time would have taken too long. :-)

Well come on now ...did it work. Ready to cuddle up with our smallest cousins hahaha. Don't think I could be brainwashed enough to enjoy that experience. Now if we gather the critters in a bowl next to a fire and I am starving to death, maybe I could find a personal use for them ... but all I can imagine now is the opposite.

With the exception of mosquitoes (no meat), all creatures serve a purpose - with the right preparation and cooking. ;-)
