Rebellion is a stand alone that includes EVERYTHING!

Just get it and nothing more.

Take a look at all the mods available for Trinity.  Some may never make it into Rebellion.  So that's a thing.  I can't imagine my life without Sacrifice of Angels 2.  Good gaming to you sir.

If I remember correctly, the game of the year edition is extremely old. That is just the same thing as the original Sins. You do not have any of the content of the three expansions, Entrenchment, Diplomacy and Rebellion. If you hurry you might still make the sale on steam where Rebellion is 66% off, that will get you all the content you are missing.

There is already a version of SoA2 for Rebellion isn't there?

SoA2 is already on Rebellion, as Goa mentioned, and most mods are porting over to Rebellion, such as DS and 7DS, and others such as Maelstrom and E4X already have. While Trinity is surprisingly still being purchased by some, it's a dying game.

You have a sad, and lonely, life then.

Get Rebellion via the Steam sale.  The depth of play that comes from the three separate update (Entrenchment, Diplomacy and Rebellion) enriches the game greatly, and with Rebellion you get all of them in one package, now at a substantial discount!
