How to make 3 stars in map not in a line

so did some searching, but haven't come up with a solution yet.

 

I'm trying to use Map Designer to generate a 3 star galaxy, but every time I preview it or star a new game, all of the stars are in a row, with the two ends not connected.

 

Is there any way to make it so Map Designer creates the stars in a triangle, instead of line, with all stars connected to each other?

 

Or do I need galaxy forge for that?

What do you mean by connected? All stars are automatically connected to all other stars, regardless of where they are located.

Yes, what Goa said. Plus, you can't jump to other stars until you researched the proper techs unless you want to connect the stars and the Galaxy Forge is what you will use...
