Objectdock's conflicts and bugs

Hello,

Objectdock is conflicting with Bandicam WHEN not started with administration privileges. Running Objectdock normally results(if Bandicam is run after Objectdock) in a "freeze", the docks freeze and can't be used(in any way), but the icon in the tray stays controllable(means I can unload the dock and start it again to fix the problem; but it appears later on again).

After figuring out that I need to run it with administrator privileges and using task scheduler to run it at "Log on" automatically with those privileges I have came upon another problem.

If Objectdock is run with administrator privileges(automatically or manually) I am not able to create "dock icons" with dragging icons or anything else onto the Objectdock tab.

So the problems which I encountered are:

1. Conflict with "Bandicam" if not run with administrator privileges

2. Inability to create "dock icons" with drag & dropping onto the dock tab if run with administrator privileges

I can confirm that this is most probably not a problem for just me, as I tested it on a different PC as well and it had the same bugs.

(Both PC's are using Win7 Ultimate 64 bit - Aero is enabled, if that matters)

The main torn in the eye is the second bug, is there any solution or is it going to get fixed in the next version?

Why haven't anyone replied to this? Not even one of the stuff members?

This is really disappointing as this is a real problem, the software is not working as it should, yet none is giving it attention...

Not from malice, I assure you. They're probably answering other tickets.

I'd suggest you write to [email protected] and wait until you hear back from an actual person.

You might also edit your OP to include which Object Dock you're referring to (version number), and include that and the url of this thread in your email to Support.

Remember, tomorrow's Friday and Support staff doesn't work over the weekend.

Questions about ObjectDock. Sometimes when shutting down my laptop OD prevents it from shutting down. If I click cancel nothing happens. I have to force the shut down. Next is when I boot up the one dock I keep to the right side is down at the bottom, the tab dock and the zoomer are gone. I have to create them again and put back all the short cuts. Any ideas.

@Uvah

Sounds like possibly OD is saving settings when you force the shut down and therefore prevent it from doing so.

Before shutting down, from your systray or from the dock, shut down OD.

You might also try uninstalling OD, rebooting and then reinstalling it. The program might have corrupted over time.
