Do I miss anything from Fallen Enchantress?

I've been reading around and it says that Legendary Heroes is a stand alone expansion.

I'm just a bit confused, do I miss out on anything (maps, campaign, etc), if I don't buy Fallen Enchantress as well as Legendary Heroes?

Or does buying Legendary Heroes automatically give you everything from Fallen Enchantress as well?

LH gives you FE as well. It adds several new tactical options etc. (like swarming) that FE does not have. So if you are considering getting the 66% off, get it ;)

 

(It's a great game, even if you stay at FE, so getting LH only adds to that, so buy buy buy ;) )

Oh great, I wasn't sure if it was a stand alone expansion like say "Heart of the Swarm" for StarCraft II; which is standalone, but by not buying the previous game "Wings of Liberty" as well, you miss out on the whole "Wings of Liberty" campaign and story.

 

So if there is nothing to "miss" I will be buying LH asap!

You are missing the campaign from FE. It is not included in FE:LH. They also play slightly different, they really are two very similar, but different games.

I should add, I very much loved FE, but think FE:LH is definitely the better game.

Hmm.. I can't see the old FE vanilla stuff in steam anymore. If that is true it's a mistake by Stardock and should be fixed eventually. It makes no sense just offering just the new scenario. I could swear I had the old FE somewhere before....

Unless you specifically bought FE from Steam it wouldn't have appeared there. They didn't give out Steam codes to the people who got FE for free via the purchase of E:WoM.

I bought FE from stardock, then upgraded via steam. That shouldn't matter if they do their job right....

I'm not sure I follow you, you can download and install from stardock.com whenever you want. How did they not do their job right? Even if you got them both from Steam, there is no "upgrade", they are completely separate installs, whether you got both from Steam, or one from Steam and one from Stardock.

If you never un-installed FE, it should still be on your computer, ready to run. FYI, should be a new update for FE soon as well.
