Plate vs Masterwork Chain

I am making my custom faction and was just wondering about the initiative differences between Plate and Masterwork Chain. If the only bonus of masterwork chain is less resources used, than i'll stick with plate, but if there is a lighter initiative hit than I'm going with masterwork.

I searched high and low for an answer myself so could someone fill me in on the difference in initiative between plate and masterwork chain?

I think it's -2 initiative for MCA vs -6 for PA.

Masterwork Chain is good for "light" armored units, like bows etc.
