Strange behaviour pausing in multiplayer

I have searched the forums but surprisingly unable to find any other reports/solutions for my problem.

 

My friend and I have been regularly playing Sins in all it's versions  and DLC for years but have had a number of multiplayer games (usually comp. stomps) fun-damaged by the fact that when we pause the game then return, it plays at an accelerated speed for a significant period of time (almost seems like the same amount of time as the pause).  Being parents of young children who often wake up at night, we cannot avoid these pauses.  It's bad enough we've considered save-quit-restart-later-load solution but that is very annoying.

Has anyone else seen this issue with fast gameplay after un-pause in multi-player and does anyone have a fix for it?  Thanks.

Early in the game faster than normal gameplay is a common experience. It almost always slows back down in the first twenty minutes or so in my experienced. Haven't really noticed it while pausing though.

Certainly familiar with the start-of-game boost (especially in quick start) which is welcome and doesn't cause a problem.

 

Huh, interesting you haven't see.  I have compared the credits/sec after un-pausing and it seems much faster than it should be.
