I recently installed a trial of decor8 to change the tile colors after the installation of windows 8.1 made them clash horribly with the new backgrounds. Yet I can't seem to access that feature, which I thought was available according to the website info.
Decor8 does not offer any way to control the colour of the tiles themselves on Windows 8.1. We offer such an option on Windows 8, but Microsoft changed Windows 8.1 to automatically create a suitable background for each icon and in doing so prevented any way of changing the colours. Unfortunately their idea of suitable colours may differ from yours!
The website should be indicating this is a Windows 8.0 only feature.
Thanks for letting me know, its saved me from wasting money on purchasing the software. The website indicates only on the tile grouping, not the color scheme section.
I hope this customization feature becomes available again at some point in the future, either in decor8 or windows 8.1.
