taskbar won't skin in alienguise,

i have two computers one i'm still running xp on. the other i have windows 8.

on the xp machine i had to do a system restore, after i did that alienguise would load but wouldn't skin the taskbar.and not all of the animation or icons load.

i tried everything i could think of, i even uninstalled it and reinstalled, no luck. i then downloaded another copy and installed that. same thing.

so i started poking around, the first one i had was using my colors, the new i downloaded was using window blinds.

in the my colors you can't see the theme files, in the window blinds one you can see them, and i opened up one and there are files for the taskbar in it.

i assume that these are the same file used in the my colors.

i realize that dell owns alienware and i can download the breed theme and run it and it works.

i thought i would run it by the folks here, i know there are a lot of skinners here and if anybody knows it would be here.

i would appreciate any and all help.

i was think about loading it on the 8 machine, if it doesn't load all of it i' don't want to do that.
