Steam Notifications Interfering With UI

Feature Request

Various games I play through Steam get interfered with via Steam notifications: friend alerts/requests covering minimaps, turn buttons, etc.

Is there a way, short of turnin' 'em off completely, that ya'll (Stardock) can change their appearance locations or whatever the correct phrase would be?

You can disable the Steam Community features either globally or on a per-game basis

To do it per-game go to your library, right-click Properties, General tab, uncheck "Enable the steam overlay while in-game"

The idea is to still have the notifications, just have them pop-up elsewhere on the screen. Away from important features of the UI (like the END TURN button).

According to this Gaming StackExchange thread, you can change the default position of the popup, and developers using SteamWorks can change the position of the popup for their game (overrides your default setting).

The recently released to founders first impressions PDF by Brad mentioned that the dev team is aware of this issue and will be looking to make sure the steam pop ups don't cover up anything important by default!
