The future in the past.

No, I am not on drugs.

We wonder about what Galactic Civilizations three will be like on the forums. So while we are dreaming let's think of this.

Think of a totally finished Galactic Civilizations three with all patches and DLC. And it would go to Stardock when galciv2 was being created. What would be different in galciv2? What do you think they would learn from future galciv3? And what would be there reaction to it?

I think there would race specific techs to start in galciv2. They would at least implement hexs. And they would say it's all impossible evil witchcraft and through it in the garbage. Lol.

Not understanding the post. I think it needs to be cleaned up. I'm thinking you are asking what I think Galactic civilizations 3 will be different from 2.

1. Less races.

2. Some races missing.

3. New races.

4. Races are called factions.

5. More individualized tech trees.

6. Tech specialization.

7. Picking on tech path will eliminate others.

8. biggeOne Que instead of two.

9. Hexes

10. Able to pick bills in the galactic council.

11. better Ai.

12. Idealologies instead of alignment.

13. Tooltips

14. More campaigns.

15. Better ship building.

16. Morale has changed.

17. The way the game list population and credits has changed.

18. You can choose ship roles at the beginning of combat.

There are probably more I can't think of.

I edited the post for you.

To be clear if Brad and all of stardock could play galciv3 when they were making galciv2. And then I asked the three questions above for input.

I think they might very well not be ready to see there own ideas. Not knowing why they made some features may result in them hating it in various areas, since we fans couldn't tell them why they made different things like star bases. Many areas they could skip entirely and make everything they could dare dream. And of course they would be rich and have ever game of the year award. :)
