Save game does't work except for AutoSave
Have tried to save a game manually, then exit GalCiv3 and then restore.
But the saved game isn't there for restore and the "Saves" folder is also empty except for the two AutoSaves

did for me
did you click save after adding a name and before closing the box.
It does work, I discovered there is a non intuitively named 'Done' over to the left, the right button labelled save did not catch my eye first time I saved either and I lost a turn of progress if you click the right hand save button it works like a champ. Perhaps the 'Done' button could be relabeled Cancel so it is more apparent it means you want to cancel, not complete the action of saving.
I ran into this as well and reported it in another thread. This is what programmers call a "human factors" problem, of which there has been considerable study. The use of "human factors" concepts is aimed at eliminating this kind of issue, but sometimes it is not immediately apparent to the devs that a particular set of circumstances exhibits a human factors problem. IMHO, this is such a case. To solve it, the devs may have to be collectively inventive.
I would also like to note that the yes and no buttons feel off
isint yes/confirm usually on the left ?
the fact that it's on the right Has caused me to cancel several times and then wonder why nothing happened
I can also confirm that because "Done" was listed on the left then I thought I saved when in reality I did not.
Save should be on the left. Many cultures always read from left to right first so it's the best place for it. Also, not sure what's the purpose of done anyway. Probably just good enough to have "Save" and "Cancel" and nothing else
I haven't noticed an instance of it here yet, but on occasion I'll find things where the yes/no buttons will be flipped in the same game depending on which programmer set up that particular function. It's insanely frustrating.
