GalCiv III Moon base idea

Hello all just bought the game and it really looks great so far but when i play the game a idea came to me.

See i always play human first so logical i start with Earth and i always colonize Mars first for role playing purpose mostly but in real life we will likely build a moon base first as a resupply base or a between base for mars now i know that in GalCiv III we have hyperdrive tech so we don't need it but it can be used as a bonus for the planet it orbits or it can be used like a space station where we can add modules for research, defense or sensors and more.
