Ooh Aah…Just A Little Bit

Album: Fresh!

Year: 1996

Gina G can’t stop squeeing and talking about her new boyfriend in the gung-ho  “Ooh Aah…Just A Little Bit.”

Zingy synths open the single, setting a fantatical tone. She squeezes the side of the arm and says she loves her Schmoopy. He furrows his eyebrows and responds “What?” She tells him to own it. He won’t lose any of his manhood if he gives her a pet nickname, too. She finishes talking to him on the phone at night and is disappointed. It’s going to be at least another 8 or 9 hours before she can hear his voice again. In between seeing him,.she works his name into every sentence.  She wants to be with him all the time. Her friends think she’s getting carried away and selfish. (“You're my love /You're my sweetest thing /Don't shy away/Don't shy away /Every night makes me hate the days /Can't get enough /Of your love/Am I wrong, am I so unkind/Show me the way/Don't turn away /I can't hide all these thoughts in my mind.”)

In the pre-chorus, she thinks of how he is day is going, what they talked about last night. She is just all about him. (“Every moment I'm just thinking of you.”)

In the chorus, with every date, she’s getting closer to becoming his exclusive girlfriend. (“Ooh aah /Just a little bit /Ooh aah /A little bit more /Ooh aah /Just a little bit /You know what I'm looking for /Ooh aah /Just a little bit /Ooh aah /A little bit more /Ooh aah /Just a little bit/I'll give you love you can't ignore.”)

She kisses his neck, her skin on fire from his constant touch. She says she would like sleep with him. She wants to show how much she adores him. It’s her first being truly in love with him and it’s such a great feeling. It’s as though everything is fresh and new again. (“Feeling good /Let's go all the way /It's got to be /Set me free /But tonight let my body say /
Take it slow, don't let it go/How can I prove my love for you /Baby please, you're all I need/Like a child but it's more than a phase.”)

In the pre-chorus, she says she pretend to be demure and skittish about sex. However, that’s not her. She thinks about it just as much as guys do. (“Could act the angel/But it won't be true.”)

        The chorus is sung again.

In the bridge, she is really enjoying her life because of him. He makes her so incredibly happy. The background singers sing part of the chorus.  (“Can you do for me /Ooh what can you do /Cause I feel so alive/I feel your love inside./Oooh oh/Just a little bit /Little bit more/Just a little bit/Just a little/Just a little bit /Little bit more/Just a little bit.”)

The chorus is sung again to end the single.

Gina G’s frisky vocals kick up her heels and skip through the sunshine in naughty lingerie. She’s a little boy-crazy and totally gets into her relationships. However, her new boyfriend is just the cutest! And he’s hers. So back off. She can’t wait to get married to him someday.

The bubbly “Ooh Aah…Just A Little Bit,” full of manic energy, puts its finger to its lips, willing to seduce with its bedroom eyes.
