Ships with 0hp remaining at end of combat

It's happened several times to me now in fleet battles. One ship has 0hp remaining at the end of combat but is still alive.

I have also seen this. Could this be an accuracy issue? The HP is shown only to an accuracy of 0 decimal points, but if the ship has 0.001 HP left it should still be alive.

Although it seems like this is a point of confusion that should be addressed somehow.
