What about convenience and tools for management?

Hello,

I'm a casual player of GalCivII and I'm looking forward to the 3rd edition. I wait till the game is finished, so I just watch the streams and read the forum.

For me, the most joy of GalCiv lies in the management and controlling of my empire. So I'm wondering what kind of convenience features and management tools will be available in GalCiv3.

Some examples to clarify:

1. Searchtool - It would be nice to be able to type in a name off a planet or fleet and the view is centered on it or a list of search results is shown.

2. Filters in the colony management table and lists. It would be nice to be able to filter the planet list for names or other attributes. Likewise a grouping option would be most helpful.

3. I would like to put my planets and ships into groups and be able to perform actions on the groups - for example apply governors on groups or have a upgrade queue on a group of ships.

Also I wonder what kind of charts, statistics and special maps will be available in GalCiv3.

So yeah, I appreciate all the features that have been discussed in the streams like the ship-designer, adjacency bonus etc, but is there any information on what is done for convenience and controlling?

Do you remember when we would get a mega event or a Galactic event and it said, something like " The Planet Wardell IV has reactivated a precursor device, this planet has had its class increased by 10......

I always wanted a way to search for that planet. We could alphabetize our planet list and that did help sometimes. In about half the times the planet itself was one we had not discovered yet and thus had no way of searching for it.....

I know we will get MUCH better statistic charts and leader boards at release.

These are all great ideas btw...
