Surveyor bug

While I was playing the Beta I noticed that the surveyors will go after anomalies even if they're out of the ship range limit.

I also had an idea. Once you capture an enemy planet instead of just getting the planet you would get an event similar to when you colonize a planet. You'd get three options and each option would give you ideology points. Like releasing the survivors, enslaving the survivors, ransoming the survivors, or simply executing them. And instead of giving buffs to the world it would effect the other races opinion of you based on their traits.

I'm not sure if this is an automated message or whatever but this isn't an issue with my computer or anything. I was mostly just reporting a bug that was happening in the game. If this isn't the place I should be reporting bugs then it would be nice to know where I should be reporting them too. :\ Sorry for the inconvenience.

End of br54's quote

This is the correct place to report a bug, that is not an automated message but a cut-and-paste one. Raynman did look at your post. Basically, it is saying "thanks for reporting your bug, if you would be willing to additionally follow these procedures it will make it much easier for us to identify and squash it." I get the feeling you think you were being dismissed or chastised, you weren't.

Hey sorry br54 if my message didn't come across the right way.

I appreciate you posting and I love being able to assist in getting any issue fixed. There is a lot of information that you can share with me and I can not start digging into the issue until I have that. So in hopes to try and be efficient and not waste your time. I ask all the questions up front at once to minimize any missing files/information that maybe needed to find a resolve. We use the support system in order to track issue(s) and collect save files for example. That is all in reference to the issue you posted: "While I was playing the Beta I noticed that the surveyors will go after anomalies even if they're out of the ship range limit." I was hoping to get more information on the issue, specifically a save file so that I could see what you were seeing.

As for:"I also had an idea. Once you capture an enemy planet instead of just getting the planet you would get an event similar to when you colonize a planet. I passed this design idea onto Paul, the lead designer, for him to look over. :)
