Not clear on how to articulate this to Devs..

I am several hundred turns into a HUGE map game and only met Iridum, Drengin and Altarians.... I am nearly done with Age of War. I feel we are either moving too fast through the tech tree on larger sized maps or we need a better pacing in Age of War. I like feeling i have milestones of achievements in getting techs in this age. Its so so.

Also at this point I only have at most HALF of the map opened up and I have Hyper warp! Hats of to making BIG maps..I love it. Now we need to 'slightly' adjust pacing a bit.

It's probably because there's only 4 races right now, so on a huge map you're very spread out.

Still the technology pacing seems off somehow. I am nearly done with Age of War and only 1/2 of the map is explored. Hmmmm

Imagine doing a Insane map with quick research and only the main races...

I assume eventually we'll be able to select a game pacing speed during galaxy set up.

That would really help Charon.

A similar set up like Distant Worlds (change cost of research to go up to increase time spent) or an over all pace adjustment like in Civ 5, Quick, Normal, Epic and Marathon.

research speed ajdustments were in GCII, so I assume they'll be in GCIII.

Perhaps the rate of research speed selections should vary with the size of the map.  In other words, not only should the rate of research be adjustable as an independent variable, it could then be further modified by the size of the map.
