         Jason Derulo is being the dream guy for his girlfriend in the shell-shocked          “Stupid Love.”

           Enchanting strings open the single, setting a bewildered tone. He scoops the poop on the grass and pats Patches on the head. Whenever any of his exes asked him to take their dogs, he’d guffaw. However, he doesn’t mind doing it for his current girlfriend. She puts with some of his idiotic behavior. He was out with his friends at the bar. On a whim, they decided to go the tattoo parlor. He must’ve showed them a picture of her to the artist because on his arm, there is a tattoo of her. If she mentions she likes something, he buys it for her. (“Walking the dog in my neighborhood/Said I never would, for you for you/I got drunk on a Monday night/Hope it looks alright/Tattoo of you, oo/I'm a yes man on the loose, yeah/Maxed out all my credit cards/Bought your favorite car, times two.”)

                   In the pre-chorus, he says he loves her. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her. (“I'm crazy for you, Lord knows what I'd do/I'd even die for you/Whatever you need, I'm down on my knees/I guess that means, I guess that means.”)

               In the chorus, he says she could be using him and he wouldn’t even notice. He loves her too much. (“I’m dumb da da dee da dumb dumb da da dee da dumb (I’m stupid in love!)/Dumb da da dee da dumb (I’m stupid in love; stupid!”)

                He made some room for in his apartment. She has a couple drawers. There are some pictures she likes on the wall. She wanted them to be “Facebook Official.” She insisted on it. He put “in a relationship with” on his page. His friends make fun of him for it and he wants to hide. (“Re-decorate my crib/Can't believe I did/It's true, it's true/I'm ashamed but I said OK/To share a Facebook page/With you, with you/Cause I'm a yes man on the loose/And I'll do anything for you.”)

       The pre-chorus and chorus are sung again.

       In the bridge, his friends can mock him all they want. However, she has beautiful breasts that they will never ever get to touch. (“And they can all call me crazy (crazy)/I'm a fool for you baby (baby)/But they ain't never seen you naked, naked/ And they can all call me crazy (crazy)/I'm a fool for you baby (baby)/But they ain't never seen you naked, naked.”)

          The pre-chorus and chorus are sung again to end the single.

       Derulo’s  starry  vocals are fully and completely in love. According to the lyrics, it’s as though he’s doing her a favor by actual being nice to her. He’s one of those pretend nice guys who tell girls how nice they are. Then, expect them to give their entire lives over to them for everything they have done. The stuff he’s doing is not a big deal: sharing a Facebook page is normal. Taking care of the girlfriend’s pet is considerate. It’s expected good behavior from a boyfrieind.

       The affected  “Stupid Love” needs an attitude adjustment.
