Very low Frame Rate In Game Even on lowest graphical settings?

I Purchased OTC today exited for the Epic gameplay but sadly when i play even on the lowest graphics settings i get very low FPS and game responsiveness?

Specs: Intel i5 dual core

Nvidia 710m Graphics card

8 gigs of Ram

Surely i shouldnt be getting atrocious FPS?

Thanks L

Hmm, I don't know much about the 710m.  I'm running an i3 3120m, which is an integrated GPU, and getting tolerable...wait, when you say low FPS, what are we talking about.  To some people 20-30 is atrocious, to others, its tolerable.  The Steam overlay has a feature to report FPS for you.

End of ApoapsisGaming's quote

Both of which have lower system requirements.  You are well below the recommended system requirements for the game.  In addition it's a beta and probably still needs optimization.

What resolution are you running the game at?

Personally I want a refund for my purchase as the minimum requirements seem misleading as my laptop exceeds the minimum requirements and the only thing not making my Rig meet the recommended requirements is the clock speed and yes I am aware of the refund policy stating no refunds are to be made on games that aren't fully released. I personally feel the minimum requirements are what the game requires for a playable experience and what i am experiencing is far from tolerable!

Thanks L

PS. I really do like the concept of the game but i dont think its in anyway fair to sell a game with such easily achieved minimum requirements  but these requirements have the game mostly unplayable, i have had a very bad experience with this game :O

The only other suggestion I can make, and I don't know how to do this myself, is to make sure the game is using the right graphics processor.  If your i5 has an integrated GPU and you're using a dedicated one as well, I've seen reports where the wrong GPU might be chosen for some applications.  While I'm running the i3 GPU pretty well (20-25 fps for an HD 4000), maybe your i5 is an older model.

Also, make sure you're not in some power saving mode.  I have a Lenovo i7 laptop at work, and it won't use full turbo mode unless its plugged in.  I also had some power settings on the Intel GPU at home that I set to full power while plugged in
