Suggestion: Folders for Ship Designs

What I've noticed in the game so far that after you get a few weapons and hulls the list of ships you can build gets very long and annoying to look through, this gets worse the more ships you make. It would be nice if we could create folders to put our designs in them and decide which folders are visible in the shipyard. This way I can disable the pre-made ships, use say a sleek, fighter theme with my terran ships or even have to design new ships in the game without having to look through 20-30 ships or obsoleting a bunch with every new technology.

I would like an option where the game simply don't EVER create or show any ship design except those I designed specifically during that game.

 

I always design my own ships and they may vary greatly from game to game so it is very irritating to have to obsolete ships and yo have to do that every time you research a new technology no matter if that technology unlocks a new ship component or not. This becomes very tedious...

 

I save my designs as templates for a reason...

They are implementing filters on the ship list in Beta 6 I believe, should work well I think. I agree at the moment it's all a bit unmanageable.
