I am not particularly fond of the extreme planets feature and i usually play on rare. In my first game, as usual I chose rare extremes, and I picked occasional habitable planets
Well, they are not rare, unless rare is 15-20% of total planets. I could live with how many there are but for the fact that at least 80% of the planets over PQ14 are extreme. I can't tell you how sick I am over mousing over extreme planets and reading that they are perfect worlds, lush, beautiful, etc. etc. I saw not one extreme below PQ 10.
I know they want the extreme worlds tech to be important to players but can't they mix it up a little better and they need to change the planet dialogue so they are not described as perfect worlds.
I saved my game but it was so irritating I will probably just start another and hope for a better draw. I guess I will test a few with no fog to see how the distribution is.
Other than that the game plays beautifully. What about the new cost of ship yards? It shocked be to see the 30+ turns to build and cost rush of several thousand BC. That should break the AI from spamming shipyards.
