Black Screen during Space Battle

When I view a space battle, sometimes I will be sent to a black screen while the sounds of the battle continue to happen. The screen is unresponsive and I did not find a way to exit back to the game. When I hit ESC, I received a box with an error message about a graphic involving the shield generator, but the "Copy to Clipboard" button did not seem to work. I will post the exact message when/if  I encounter this bug again.

Thanks for posting your issue, please make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date. If that doesn't help please submit a ticket to support and be sure to attach your screenshots, saves and support tool files.

I get that too, occasionally. The only cure seems to be restarting my computer and reloading the game.

I get the same issue sometimes when I invade planets. I find it odd since my PC is not even breaking a sweat. Screen just goes black when I try to invade multiple planets in a turn. First one usually goes no problem, I then save before launching attack number 2. On the bright side this game runs so much faster now.

I do not know yet whether today's hotfix 0.93 fixed the problem...I have to get a ways into the game before I do invasions.

Nope its still there, very frustrating bug though, since I am doing a massive invade of the terran empire, and every 3 invasions this happens, and i have to restart the game + reload

This happens to me frequently, and so does the invasion of the planet one (where it doesn't load the invasion and just sits in the screen and does nothing, and then forces to me to close application and come into the game again.) My graphics card drivers are all up to date, and my computer has more than plenty to run this game in every aspect... I say it's a bug, and a highly annoying one that somehow needs to get fixed within 10 days before release (got my doubts). Both of these issues happen to me about 50% of the time when trying to view invasions or combat.

Had this my self before updating my Nvidia graphics card drivers.

Please try the following:

1. Disable cloud saves: http://screencast.com/t/lSyZWnwMTgiI

2. Rename your "..\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3" directory to GakCiv3.old

3. Restart the game and see if you have the issue.
