Administration dispute between Spacestation and shipyard Designs

Hey sol space station you there? Mining Station 1 calling.

wizz. squak.. Yeah mate got yah loud and clear.  Whats up?

We need another module over here.. could you put one of those new super fast constructors into your build list and send it on over.

Sorry Mining Station 1, no can do. They are privately designed.

Gawd ain't we one empire? Oh well throw the bog standard construction ship into the mix then.

Um., No can do. Those ships where designated obsolete.

"......."

Yeah I made the core construction ship obsolete cause I had designed a new one..  but my space stations can no longer "request constructor"

So am i missing something or do I really need to retain the core constructor in my design list. If so how do I get it back after I made it obsolete?

Also do you want to know about ship design pieces that do not match their small icon?  eg Terran model 57

Cheers

You are screwed.

I did the same thing awhile back and tried everything I could think of, but you can't build a constructor that the game will accept.

I hope they will make it possible to use our own ships in the near future, but for now it's their way or the highway.

I have noticed that even though they use the single module ships, the system is way more efficient than me in getting the ships where they need to be. I just queue them up and forget about it and soon they are pouring in. If I have a special need sometimes I'll build one of my own and send it.

I also hope they will add a cancel orders feature in the future

What i believe you can do is build the (any) constructor at your shipyard and once its idle you should be able to use the request constructor

im currently building four per turn from my home planet and sending them to a ralley point i find that works generally better for building starbases

Four per turn?  How do you build more than one per turn?  Have you modded the game?

Not really my home planet has an insane amount of manufacturing (malevolent tree) i have about 1k military output so i build 4 shipyards next to home planet and have research planets ( set to 0 military manufacturing ) as their "primary" then i switch my home planet every few turns

I should be able to do about 9 per turn considering the amount of overflow

Wow, I never would have thought of that.

yeah ive been mulling over tue idea for a while now and until my current game i hadnt actually had a chance to test it but it seems to work fine

Worked that out by accident last game.. Currently not at the stage where I can do that for this game.

hmm I knew about multiple planets suppling one shipyard but one planet supply many shipyards..

I think the galaxy is about to get busy.  :)  Should be able to crash an insane map even quicker..
