Bug: Game resets my settings everytime a new Patch version is downloaded

As the title says,

everytime a new patch is downloaded, the game screws up my settings to default. NO, I don't want to see the intro, again. NO, I don't want music to play, NO, I don't want the grid to be displayed. YES, I want auto-save every turn, YES, I want particles deactivated etc. etc..

You should really fix it that the user configuration is stored even after a patch. Very annoying that is overwritten time and again. This was acceptable during Beta, not in a fully released game anymore.

Yes, it was like that in the Beta. It is still annoying, and should be changed IMO. Other Steam games do not screw up my settings when I download a patch.

Yeah its a real pain in the butt >.< i get stuff like maybe important settings that changed in the patch but do they really need to reset my volume settings and auto save counter.

It also seems that any small change requires that you redo any mods you are using.
