Hello,
I've searched and did not find the answer to my question so here it is. Do old save games include the patchs changes (for exemple 1.02) when we load the game with the new patch installed?

Some things yes, other things no.. mostly no when it comes to improvement, approval,ship changes etc. as all that data is saved within the save file itself and it only gets that information on the start of a new map. Most the crashes and Ai stuff normally gets fixed tho.
Doing so has also been known to cause crashes. Most (all?) things xml related will not be included/fixed in your saves. I either finish my game before updating or just start new
