5.4 Guardian sov tree broken

Well not so much broken as it need work

 

* Snipers moved too far up

* Increase army size WAY too far up tree. Ranger really needs extra units in army.  Commander starts with extra slots and i understand this from a 'lore' stand point bot vanda really doesn't need the help as much as ranger does.  Consider upping ranger army size .. maybe a ranger tree skill to do so EARLY

* In general has some good skills but everything it too serial, consider more parallel branches

* Fertility - good,  Why not a production one also?

*Dragons roost- pretty useless. by the time you can unlock the dragon is under powered compared to baddies size/levels

* do you really need 4 'when fighting in your land' buffs? AND they are not very good, maybe only 2 or 3 and make them better

* reveal SK - Very low usefulness   * reveal shard - marginal usefulness 

* Geomancy- Ok ; Consider adding harvest mountain/forest

I still think that the highest tier trainable units are pretty pathetic, attack-power wise. Dragons, Paladins etc. really don't pack any attack-power punch and there's no way to really fix that.

I agree with you low punch comment, but to fix it why not just give them more punch

^That is what I'm suggesting. I know they did a pass on their strength with 5.4 but it doesn't seem to have done all that much.

Regarding reveal shard, in one of my last games on 2nd turn i choose shard guardian at sov level up and in addition of knowing the shard locations i
- know where to build my next 2 cities(can see tile yields next to shards)
- have started quests with 4 factions (most of them are located near shards), and completed one of those for 20 mana
- know where the sorcerer king citadel is located (which makes reveal SK useless)
- know where i can liberate a hero (slayer statue)

thats incredibly useful, not marginal useful in my opinion.

Well i can see your point but i would contend it depends on the map size, difficulty level and luck

>> Early game you are not likely to be strong enough to fight your way there and on anything but tiny way too far.  IF you get lucky a good spot is discovered right next store.

>> This one i concede with a caveat : again depends on size/difficulty/luck WITH the way latest patch places their quest locations.  Used to be close to you; now very scattered. So you may not be in any position to do the quest & the clock is now ticking.

yup but useless * marginally useless still = useless

??? Did i miss something? Does it really show hero statues ?? if so; the value goes up
