Seeding Process on New Planets

What's up with the Creeps, Preexisting Mine Shafts, Etc.?

I have been scratching my head about the whole "seeding" process since Alpha started.  The "Backstory" part of the main website describes the seeding process as follows:

A "seed" will materialize on a suitable world. A second, third or fourth seed may materialize moments later. Post-humans and the Substrate will fight to the death to control the computronium generators to take possession of that world.

This makes it sound like both sides learn about potential planets around the same time and then rush to claim them.  What it does not explain is how the factions become aware of the planets, or the existence of the creeps, pre-existing mine shafts, and computronium generators.  Who manufactures all that stuff?  Is it Haallee, the Substrate, Post-Humans, a third-party?

Apologies if this information exists somewhere and I just missed it.

Well my logical explanation for all of this is that any faction either the Substrate or Post-humans have or "had" and lost the capacity to seed a planet. The seeding itself can be considered like a terraformer ai that setup`s everything for future colonisation or harvest operation.

Maybe this terraforming AI was sent loong ago on a galaxy wide mission and the knowledge to control it has been lost, this would at least explain the presence of creep`s and why these creeps use the same model`s and textures as the human faction.

With this knowledge lost and the need for computronium rising continued exploration and seed operations must continue, i think something along the lines of Dune spice would be cool.

There is a way to also make the factions cooler by giving it better names than Post-Humans and substrate, also faction symbols, for the love of god give them specific faction symbols.

Essentially, prior to when the events in the game start, humans sent out probes through the galaxy to discover planets and prepare them for eventual use (hence why there are Power/Computronium Generators and various resource mines already laid out). This all happened before the split between the Substrate and PHC, so both factions have the data on where these worlds are.

Got it.  I figured it was something like that, but the suspense of not knowing had been killing me ;-).
