4 Usability Issues I have found

Hi Offworld team,

The four issues that I have come across are:

1. Smaller screen resolutions won't let you pick Scientific colony at start of game, because it overlays with the blackmarket screen

2. Which ties in with: HUD sizes are not resizable, therefore taking up 30-40% of screen space

3. Replaying Daily challenge campaigns, doesn't let you scan

4. Single player campaigns are so convoluted, in most games usually used as tools to build up a players skill level, feels like you need to be an expert in the game to even start a campaign.

Like the game, and your definitely filling a empty niche that has a lot of demand, keep it up.

Regards,

Denis

Hi Throkster1,

Nice finds! Thanks for the feedback.

How do you want the HUD to resize?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

Currently the only place I can play Scientific class is in campaign, which is my main gripe. (overlays with black market screen)

Slider hud size is too much tech work, maybe have a small medium large HUD setting? After you play a while, you dont really need to read the writing in the hud, you just use the symbols, and seeing more of the map would be great.

I don't understand why others haven't had this issue, I have put resolution to max & have 3 screens, 35", 19", 19".

Denis

PS. I think campaign being tricky is a good thing in retrospect, this isn't a game designed for dumb people, just increases challenge =). But I do know people 2-3 who are a little frustrated by no assisted learning curve.

Making it easier for dumb people would increase your sales though :P

I disagree with the campaign thing.

I'm one of those players who are far more interested in single player than multiplayer, regardless of my current skill level, and I'm sure there are others like me. Playing single player skirmishes is a far better alternative for training, and the tutorial missions allready work sort of like a mini-campaign, so please keep the campaign as a more "meaty" single player option.
