I love tech trading with the Ai at Gifted and higher. It lets me 'backfill' the techs I have not got yet and lets me get additional specializations I wanted. 

I also like to give Ai I am going to Ally with better weapon techs. Disabling Tech brokering 'should' prevent the Ai I give Disrupters to from giving it away to the Borg or Drengin. I am not sure the 'disable tech brokering' is working. 

I find all the minors have all the techs I traded for on the next turn. 

How would I verify it is working?
