hero disappeared ?

units in champions group ?

do heroes/champions randomly appear in the game ? there was one near my capitol, it dissappeared after about 50 turns ? thanks can i put new military units into my main heros group ? i'm able to put 1 with him, the other militias stay in there own group, i want to attack monsters with all my military units ? thanks
