Hi there, new player here. Fear not, UK people are still buying Galciv!! (although my only win with 3000ish points seems a little slight compared to some of the scores! ;))

A question about Stardock & Drengin net. I went over there to pick up the Beta and it isn't present (have done everything correctly) is it just for drengin.net customers? Not sure I want to pay $30 when I can get it free later (miser that I am).

Yes, it's just for Drengin customers.

Drengin subscription gives you a year's worth of games as well. But if you are just looking for GCX, you will get it free quite soon.

Stardock Central is NOT displaying the Expansion Pack beta so that I may download it. I did check off display
beta prerelease software, with no apparent effect.

I am a registered Gal Civ user. Now are you saying I must pay additional money for drengin.net to download the Expansion pack which I should be entitled to free????

The cost that I see listed is $69.95 Not $30. Where did you see drengin.net membership for $30???

No. All galciv users are entitled to a free Galciv Xpack which is due in a couple of weeks.

Drengin.net subscribers are entitled to participate in the beta testing of the Xpack which is currently ongoing.

should be entitled to free????
End of quote

Go down to the shop and have a look at all the expansion packs you can find for free.

If you care to wait a couple of months the expansion packs will be free to download.

Let them make some money for a great game at least. :D
