Are we giving the right feedback to the right version?

  • This makes me think what kind of feedback we are transmitting.
  • We has Founders ,should have access to all pre releases before patches be released for everyone.
  • We are helping to find problems in our 0.64.14585 version and give our feedback the way we think is indicated.

  • But apparently someone who never took part in our discussions, never spoke of the movement of the units if it is slow or not, never addressed the zoom difficulty being too close so losing the real prespetive from every corner of the game, never spoke the lack of elegance on the UI, that map editor needs lot work or that the maps have very little diversity, or that the group does not work since we dont control the units we want ,that empire tree showld just be out or have the option to disable it to have more view on the field, etc etc....

  • Well we Founders do that every day even if we see it the right way or rong way.
  • I dont think is wrong, on the contrary is the right way to make known our / your product.

  • What I find wrong and displeases me is that we are all talking about version 0.64 problems, and you guys asked to give our ideas in the next version 0.70 when apparently there are already 3 versions above 0.70.1 ...

  • At least the Founders should have the same access as the call "Vips"  or current versions of the moment, not taking the merit to other early access players.
  • Attention I'm not against, i just think the Founders showld have a little more of your attention and be included in the program has VIPs.

       Keep up the good work.

i agree with your points, founders are active trying to help, and even help on the steam forums, it would be nice to have 0.70 released to us because  i guarantee feedback would be relayed, so it might make for a smoother 0.70 to be released for the general public.

It is surprising that some get early access to the early access patches. Personally, as an elite founder, I am fine waiting for the actual patch releases, because that probably means less crashes. We founders got what was advertised to us. Now we are in the Early Access phase and we are not getting special treatment, which was never promised. So all is fair.

It seems to me that the handful of folks who currently have 0.70 essentially have access to an internal build. Companies frequently have internal builds played by friends and family. We don't know the history between Stardock/Oxide and the folks who currently have 0.70. It's plausible that such folks have a much more intimate relationship with them than founders.

That said, there are clearly some folks on these forums that are willing to play through instability to offer feedback in advance of a patch release, so Stardock/Oxide might consider allowing founders to have access for the benefit of the game. Again, to me personally it's not a big deal.

It will be nice for the Founders to get 1-2 weeks earlier build than early access players, but its fine with me.

Think of it this way, since everyone can buy acess to the beta its kinda of an early released version of the game. Think of founders as investors and not someone that knows everything about the game or has acess to every version.

We can pitch in and influence stuff, but in the end its they that develop the game.

Plus lets be honest here i bet they have better people than us random guys on the internet to rely on "VIP" feedback. I bet they have actual game designers working on it, and probably have some friends that they can personaly ask to play the game and give feedback on.

Even personal hands on feedback like physicaly being near the person when he/she is playing which works much better.

Essentialy we are kinda of the brute force or last line of testing that when they have something that needs breaking they can just release it and then the forums will be flooded with complaints/feedback.

Founders have 0.71. Just use the main branch.  We don't always or even regularly update the private branch unless there's something there to show.

We really don't want to split hte player base up unless necessary.

When the early access program ends, Founders will still be getting updates beyond that.
