I havent test yet with many units but so far all running bether with new NVdrivers.

Last drivers i have all the time DX 12 crash to fix i have instal old drivers and last week Win 8.1 drivers ,but with new NVDrivers all is fix.

Whats your Cpu/Gpu?

Check out the Nvidea control PhysX if its Auto put your Gpu.

Check also your hardware settings and try disable the Intel HD Graphics if you have.

Nvidia 760 560Ti-448 and a 2500K OC to 4.5GHz Win10 Pro

Everything on default on control panel

I can go back and forth with 359.06 and reproduce the issue every time.

You got a 2500k OC to 4.5Ghz playing ashes ?

Carefull with extra voltage and heat, try see on bios  voltage dropped to 1.26v , AOTS is a  CPU demanding so dont stress it too mush unless all rest system can keep..

And test on your memories with 1333 not more.

CPU is fine and not affected by the NVIDIA drivers.  My cpu runs below 50C at 1.25V at 4.4GHz.  This is not a system RAM issue so 1333 is not relevant either.

Without changing ANYTHING, running 359.06 works and 361.43 does not.  (I am less sure about GPU memory now as I have gone back and forth and it seems to vary in both versions)

@chemie - We ran a test internally with a Nvidia 760, latest drivers, Win10 Pro and didn't have any performance issues.  It'd be interesting for us to see your settings.ini file if you can post it (usually here: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Ashes of the Singularity)

The 125MB GPU memory doesn't make much sense (way too low), how are you checking that?

Other things to try:

-disable Overclocking... usually this results in instability, not perf drops, but would be worth checking

-setting your graphics to lowest possible and playing on a small map (ex. Deneb) and see what kind of perf you get (would be a useful baseline)

Thanks!

@The_Enginieer - we were seeing a few posts from you on recent instability.  So are you back to normal after all the latest drivers and Windows updates?

I am running all this on 2-person map.

Set at "low" fixes the issue and "standard" fails....trying to find the setting that borks things.  I edited my post I ....I think the GPU memory thing was compared "in menu" vs "in game" or a riva tuner reporting issue

Going to stock CPU did not change anything (it is running at 45C with OC)

Edit: I see I had typo.  Card is 560 (actually 560Ti-448).  Yes, below minimum but with previous drivers I had 20-30 FPS in standard settings and now 4 fps so something broke.

OK.  Here are results:

359.06 on "standard" and everything is fine 20-30 fps

361.43 on "low" everything is fine 45 fps

361.43 on "standard" and all hell breaks lose 3-7 fps

Starting from "low", and then changing one at a time, no issues except both MSAA and Textures set to standard levels will cause the issue.

Now this time I let the game play out a bit more.  With "low", game starts at 45 fps.  With all standard setting except Textures, I get a in between thing where the fps starts at 4 but after about 30 seconds it goes to the 20-45 (depending on what is at low or standard); Shadows and MSAA seems to be the ones to cause the temporary low fps at start but can recover.

Under all scenarios, if textures is set to "high", the game starts and stays at 4 fps.

Again, 359.06 does not have this issue and yes, I am below min specs but clearly 361.43 is not playing nice with ashes (or vice versa)

Yes after the new NV drivers (361.43-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql)  ,all normal again dont have problems for now, and actualy the fps on extreeme and hight  are way bether then when i have the 0.64 build that was when i have the best performance.

What im try to understand is wy i have bether performance on my ddr3 2400 when in bios i put it 1333 ,have make several test benchmarks all in all diferent settings, i have bether performance with low frequency ,probably because the low latency.

But yes now its working good DX11/12 on both systems i have old and the new.

Old I5 2500k/8Gb ddr 1333/Gtx 780 ( run very well dx11 on hight )

New GTX 980 TI/32Gb 2400/I7 4790k (Runs very well dx 12 on hight and extreeme )
