Great musician...and singer. Loved his music so, so much. Rest In Peace, Glenn...thanks for an era. Thanks for the fantastic music...

“It's Your World Now”
Written by Glenn Frey and Jack Tempchin
From the Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden album

A perfect day, the sun is sinkin' low
As evening falls, the gentle breezes blow
The time we shared went by so fast
Just like a dream, we knew it couldn't last
But I'd do it all again
If I could, somehow
But I must be leavin' soon
It's your world now

It's your world now
My race is run
I'm moving on
Like the setting sun
No sad goodbyes
No tears allowed
You'll be alright
It's your world now

Even when we are apart
You'll always be in my heart
When dark clouds appear in the sky
Remember true love never dies

But first a kiss, one glass of wine
Just one more dance while there's still time
My one last wish: someday, you'll see
How hard I tried and how much you meant to me

It's your world now
Use well your time
Be part of something good
Leave something good behind
The curtain falls
I take my bow
That's how it's meant to be
It's your world now
It's your world now
It's your world now

Glenn, this world won't be the same without you. RIP, Mr. Frey.

Went out for a meal at the local footy club this evening with Shaunna and Steve, and much of the night they were playing Glen Frey and the Eagles as background music.  'Twas a good night.  Not only was the meal fantastic, the music was top notch and most satisfying.  No matter what, Glen Frey will live on in the great music he gave us.

His death has made me feel down. I guess more than ever I am realizing how short life is. Life is but a vapor in the wind and all these death's lately have made me take a closer look at my life. I have many regrets over stupid decisions that I have made in my life time. I have wronged some people and often I wish that I could turn back time but the past is something we can never get back. When you are young you think you are immortal but as we grow older we realize how silly that is. I do not make new years resolutions however if I can make one significant effort for change it would be that 2016 would be the beginning of a better me.

Sorry, I know this thread is about Glenn Frey and not about me, its just that I grew up listening to his music and his death has effected me deeply. R.I.P Mr. Frey

I know how you feel Junior and I agree with what your saying.  All the people I grew up watching and listening to are leaving this earth.  My turn is coming and I hope it won't be for a while.  R.I.P. Glen.

RIP Glenn. Being 63 all these people dying lately is making me check my mirrors for what's creeping up behind. Lemmy and Bowie. Also 2 drummers. Dallas Taylor and Dale Griffin just passed. I suppose it's the age group. The Baby Boomers. RIP to them all.

My bad Dallas Taylor was a year ago.

So true.  It's the way of it that when we're young we can't know better, but the fact that we know better now, and can reflect and try to do better, is proof that we learned something in spite of ourselves.

I've always really liked the Eagles' music.  They, as a group, became more reflective with age as well.  I thank them especially for songs like "It's your world now".

We're losing a lot of our entertainers now. Love Alan Rickman, Natalie Cole, and Ziggy him self.

Rest in peace all. You are gone but not forgotten. :pout: X(

I look back on my life and often wish I had done things differently, especially when it comes to people I inadvertantly or foolishly hurt. One in particular, a former g/f, I would dearly love the opportunity to apologise to for sometimes being a complete dickhead while we were together.  I don't know that I'll ever get that chance, and I certainly can't turn back time to edit out those foolish and hurtful things, which is why I try to use my experience of life to do so much better and avoid hurting others.

Maybe I'm a better person today for having made mistakes and learnt from them, but it still doesn't stop me from wishing I could take them all back, so you're not alone in your thinking, JC, and the passing of all these musicians of late has made me realise that we're only on this Earth for the blink of an eye and time is too short not to love thy neighbour, friends and family.

Thanks, mate, though it seems we're pretty much on the same page, not only in our taste in music, but also in our thoughts on life and past mistakes, wanting to do better.

Mind you, I still don't like bankers, hehe. }:)

Losing Glenn Frey and Alan Rickman in the same week is sure a bitter pill to swallow. I always loved and still love the Eagles and Alan's portrayal of Snape was priceless. R.I.P. gentlemen and know you're loved.
