Ashes of the Singularity Player Created Video Thread

I know some of you have been doing Let's Plays and other types of videos for Ashes of the Singularity.  If you make one please post it here as well just so we can keep track of the videos and see what our fans are creating. :)

If you post them on social media sites like Twitter, be sure to include your Twitter name so we can keep an eye out for them and possibly repost them on our social channels.

Even if you aren't the creator, but see a good video, feel free to post it here as well.

Also feel free to post them separately in this forum category, I just wanted to create this so I can easily keep track of them.

I'm assuming you aren't looking for bug report videos in this thread, because I have a few of those :P

How ? what you mean?

You click where says  YouTube  and past the URL ex:   (  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej1lullDU4c  )

I think he put the red text because the tube in youtube has red around it. And he is not wrong, I see the button for youtube too, but it is missing on your image. It should be in the top right corner where you have a space on yours, to the right of "ab" and above the preview button (paper and magnifying glass it looks like).

I thought it might be because I am using google chrome and they now own youtube so sometimes integrate it into things. But loading the page with Explorer still shows it so it's not that.

Using firefox on my system, the youtube icon is missing as in the above picture. However, mousing over the location next to the ab icon where the youtube icon should be highlights the invisible youtube icon region and gives a "Insert Youtube Video" tooltip. Clicking it brings up the youtube video embedding prompt box.

Another member of the forums here - zorin1 - and I spent a lot of time learning to play 2v2 against the challenging AI.

Here is one of the better games we had (I think)

I really think the Devs need to watch at least the first 20 minutes of this guys video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAQbbwRrf5o

He is playing the game for the very first time and it might help your UI guys and tutorial design guys see what the average person sees when they play for the first time.

Clicking on nodes really should give some info.

When selecting the Hades you shouldn't be able to see a factory like UI underneath.

Factories really shouldn't stack and then not be built. I didn't realise it still did this as the Quanta Relays pop down quite neatly now.

When you click on the Quanta Relay building itself on the map it should say something about what it does. Rather than just on the mouse over in the construction UI.

Bunch of other stuff.

Anyway, for me it was almost like seeing the game for the first time again through someone else's eyes and it might be helpful to the devs.

A shorter tips video on early game-play. Do you think it will be helpful for people?

End of Screaminole's quote

I liked that video, not seen someone do a side by side like that yet for this game. Must have taken a while to do so props to you.

It would be interesting if you did a similar video vs someone or an AI which really pushes you. See if the rapid expanse or the slow but steady approach can be used for better results in different situations. When the AI learns how to use orbitals early then that might mix things up in this regard too.

Yeah, I have been playing a tough AI and I am able to also take 3 generators before they have expanded much. I am worried about what will happen with orbitals though lol

AI puts alot more resources into defenses. I just find that they get destroyed relatively quickly

Here is a video of a ranked match in which I rushed the other player. I talk about my opinion of incursion and how I feel it may be OP at the beginning of the game. Hopefully this video can be used as a reference for future balancing

Enjoy! :D

Someone put up a Beta 2 benchmark here:

Still all sorts of weird stuff going on with some unit and building textures. I hope that gets fixed by release.
