Attack move on the minimap

Nothing came up on a search so I guess no one's brought this up yet. 

I just got the game and noticed that I could not apply an attack move order using the mini map. What happens when I try is the camera pans to where I clicked on the mini map, then I have to apply the order to the ground in the main view. This is something that should very much be put in the game as it is a more efficient way to give an attack move order, and it would not potentially distract the player from an ongoing battle, placing buildings, etc.
