Notifications in GalCiv3

Is it just me or are the notifications in GalCiv3 really thin? I don't even look at them most of the time because they are buried on the third tab of the section of UI they are in. I actually miss the falling tile style of notifications from GalCiv2 and other 4X like the Total War games.

They also don't seem to tell me anything important either. I traded for a starbase then it culture flipped back to the original owner and I never even noticed until later. A little warning would've been nice. Anyone know if there are currently plans to improve on this system?

I liked the GC2 notices better also. Wouldn't mind having them back.

I think it is not needed anymore. Our end turn button does most of the job easier! At least for the most of the ones you need to do something.

Ive checked them twice.

I don't even look at the notifactions. Although there may be useful information there, on larger maps they are just spam because you get like 100 every turn - and of course there is no sorting, filtering or prioritising them.

I tried some games looking at notifications- when your empire is small its okey- lots of information there. But it becomes nuisance once you get large and big.

As some people already said- the end turn button already blends the most important things though I agree- when your culture or other starbase flips or AI conquers a planet somewhere- some sort of pop up warning could be nice.

I actually thought the current system is better but it is not i big deal to do it like except two had a lot of useless things to look at.

I still tend to look at them but as others have said, in the larger sized maps it's a major PITA to have to clear each one individually... Why some sort of clear all button is not able to be implemented I don't pretend to know but can only assume it's because of the way things are coded and it's not as easy as I/many of us think it should be to do... Still, would love to see it get revamped some what so it is actually useful again in the mid to late games on larger maps.

I didn't even notice there were notifications until I'd played many games and never use them because they're way too spammy with pointless info.

IMO it would be ideal if you could filter them to drop it to just critical events, which has been suggested before (the idea of filtering options, that is).

Also agree that a clear all button would be nice.

The new notification system is an ok idea but it's like it's not a fully thought out or fully implemented idea.  Needs filters and needs a clear all button.

Sometimes you get multiple diplomatic messages from the AI in the same turn but when you close whichever window that ends up on top it seems all the other ones disappear as well.

They're mostly fluff (ie the open boarder treaty eases tension between us, our shock troops will flay you alive, etc) but it would be nice if a future notification system let you look through all of them.
