Peacekeeper Event

I need to know if the idiot AI fighting me is suffering equally from Peacekeeper event.

I'm losing starbases and survey ships and scouts and constructors and alot of my free ships from exploring. I also lost my exploring Ysengard ship. :(

At least one of those peacekeeper accidentally suicided into my fortified world where I actually had a fleet in presumly because it was chasing my Starlab mercenary.

Because if only the human players suffer from this event i'm uninstalling galciv3.

fuck this event. I was perfectly fine. Then powerful ships out of no where comes out and wipes out all my shit just cuz snathai can't beat me.

And from what I'm seeing, Snathai isn't getting hurt by the event.

Super early too early for that kind of event to happen. Almost punched my monitor.

Reverted to a save one hour earlier.

This event can be bothersome or WORSE. However, lets give Stardock credit for events like this that make the game more challenging and interesting. I haven't had this event since 1.5 but I assure you back then those ships also attacked AI's who were at war.

In my experience, any of the warring races are free game for the peacekeepers.

I see, thank you.

I know there's a period where I'm most vulnerable at. Peacekeeper just showed me how vulnerable it is.

I got hit when the colony rush ended and the infrastructure build up on planets started. As in, factories was still being built, so i can actually crank out Medium class ships in 3 turns or less. The small escorts I built, destroyed them magnificently and told the robot's consendicating attitude to take what they say to where the sun don't shine in deep space.

Saw Robot ships with 48 lasers and 16 omni defense = starbases is free food cuz all my starbases had only single starbase weapon upgrade done.

I think I saw one with 96 laser damage but I restarted at that point but not before I killed a few to soothe my bruised ego. Then I went and had grilled burgers today and soda.

My accusation of Snathai conspiring with Peacekeepers came from SNathai's rejection of my peace treaty recommendation so I took it as that SNathai wasn't getting hit at all by them. Snathais can go get bent, I'm going to exteriminate them the next time I see them on new map. I know I spell their name wrong but I don't care. Don't like them for rejecting my peace treaty now.

But if that is true that Peacekeepers hit the warring AIs too then I have to think Snathai is stupid. His fleets is more weaker than mine.

I didn't mind the barbarian invasion that hits you in first 50 turns for civ4. Its only first 50 turns and I always had like a coin flip toss on whether i would survive the invasion or not. This peacekeeper was brutal lol.

I think these events a fun and i wish i could get one - i never have.

What i imagine i would do is as follows;

Have a fire sale!

sell all my slower ships and starbases to the AI. They are no use to me, may as well get something for them.

Switch off military production, let the AI waste its time on that.

I usually have a number of fast ships with good sensor range,,, these will be invaluable, and i will try to lead the peacekeepers over toward the AI

I don't know if this strategy would work??

Edit: you know what i just thought... if i sold my starbases to a weak race not at war with the peacekeepers.... if that race is weak enough, i could probably trade back my starbases later on or regain them with influence?

You can't get starbases back with influence. You have to buy them back or unlock a specific benevolent trait.

That is where you have to chose wisely whom to sell them too in the first place. I have noticed that AI's tend to pay allot for my obsolete ships when they have had their fleet decimated by someone else. This would i imagine might be the easiest way to buy back starbases? although i never tried it? I usually just take the money! lol
