Tutorial corrupts subsequent ranked match

I just ran through the tutorial for the first time (because why not?). And then I jumped into a ranked match. I was paired with Skully, but there were two very interesting problems:

First, my name showed up (to me) as Neophyte, and Skully showed up as "Haalee AI". Ok, not a huge problem, but confusing.

Second, I started without an engineer. I was able to build one and continue the game, but I was still rather surprised by this. I'm not sure, but I don't think Skully started with one either.

I then attempted a skirmish, and the name problem persisted. I forget whether I had an engineer or not. I restarted Ashes, and the problem seems to be fixed.

This issue was previously observed and reported for Skirmish after running the tutorial. It is of much greater concern that it effects multiplayer/ranked matches.
