bugs with armies

Greetings!

 

While playing ashes of singularity i have had an issue with armies (both substrate or PHC). When you form an army, ask for reinforcements, add more units to your army (with V button) (especialy after getting a dread in), the army counter sometimes breaks (UI shows less then a half of units attached to an army), and some units refuse to follow commands. Disbanding an army doesnt help, because when forming a new army same thing happens. The bug sometimes dissapeares by itself. 

Im running win 7, dx11 version. All settings are set to low. Got updated drivers for my nvidia card. Tried "check and fix client" option - didnt helped.

 

I cant record a video atm, so feel free to ask me about this bug, cause it seems i can reproduce it every single game i play ^^

These bugs, are they basically the same as the ones in this video?

Not quite.

In the video above player didnt use army button that much.

 

The issue i experience is somewhat like:

I build aprox 10-15 t1 units (pack of units), put them in command 1 for example (ctrl +1), then i add a few (5-10) t2 units (put them in command 1 too). Form an army via V button from all of the above listed units. Then i order some reinforcements to that army. A few of my factories produces units via direct order (not reinforcements) and a few are on to producing reinforcements. When a few units are created from reinforcements, they are not counted as part of an army (they do fit in battle order (formation)), but are counted as command 1 units (i can select all of them via "1"). In UI my army states smtn like 5 martyrs 6 reapers etc. When i press V again so that new units would participate in battle orded (formation), some of the units dissapear from the UI. Some units just ignore commands that are given to a whole army that they are part of. When a dread is added to an army, the situation is getting worse, more units dissapear. Sometimes the army just doesnt counts as a unit. For example my army is tagged to a number "1" for selection and when i press "1" my army is actually selected (it is seen by outlining units), but the UI says i selected a factory or a nexus, so i cant disband an army, give army commands etc. 

 

Hope that cleared things up a little bit. Its quite hard for me to explain this due to not being a native english speaker.

I think I know the Issue here Orachin, each Meta Group has a limit of units, you cannot have infinite units inside a meta-Unit.

I think you can have up to 128 logistics inside each Meta-Unit. so that may be the problem that you are having.

When you have a lot of units in the map and you count them in Logistics, lets say 1000 logistics, and you click on the V button then what happens is that the game will create the Meta-Units and put in each a max of 128 Logistics in each group, so you will get around 8 meta groups.

I think that may be your problem in here, let me know if I am right.

Thank you for a reply ASADDF, maybe thats the issue. Cause the problem occurs only when my army grows in numbers and i do tend to keep all of my forces in one or two armies. I will do some more testing and will post here the results. Is there any info somewhere on the limits of meta unit? And can i somewhere see current logistics use on my meta unit (or free logistics to add to meta unit) or do i have to count it myself? =)

Can i group two or more meta units in a single group via ctrl+1? Or do i have to control every meta unit on my own?

So i did some testing. As you mentioned it all went fine when i didnt make large meta units. But game really needs some clarifications on meta unit limits.

you can have as many Meta-Units as you want inside a Ctrl+#, they just don't work together.

Yes it does, they need to add some kind of Tutorial for that to explain about it and the reason of why they have a Cap for each Meta-Unit, but i think if I am correct the main reason to cap each Meta-Unit is because of the buff that they get together.

Really big buffs, and that does not make me very happy, I think the Dev's need to double or triple that Cap and lower the Buffs.
