[Idea] Dreadnought Auto reinforce

After playing many hours of AoS I have come to realize how great it would be to have an auto reinforce feature on the Dreadnought that doesn't only build destroyed units, but let you tweak your Dreadnought army any time by clicking the "template".

As you can see in the image I added a small window for "save army" and "auto reinforce". It would work by first selecting the full army composition you want with the current Dread. As usual the units and their count would appear on the right side of the Dread info panel. If this is the army composition you want at the time you could click "save army" and tell the game to keep up with the unit count on this "template". If you lose one of the units the number would decrease like normal, but you could designate it below template level by a red number, or any other type of indication. The "auto reinforce" option would do exactly what it says. When you have an army composition saved and reinforcements selected, the units will be built by factories as they are destroyed. Now as the battle continues you need to adapt to your enemy. The best way to win is by adapting to counter your enemies army composition. The secondary feature in this is the ability to tweak your "saved army" by clicking the unit frames in the normal build panel, or by clicking the units picture in the Dreadnought army panel. Left click would add and right click would remove. Of course this doesn't explain what happens to a particular unit if you remove it from that army composition when right clicking. Destroyed, disbanded, etc.?

This feature could be a very powerful tool since it would allow you to make on-the-fly changes during long term engagements.

Yeah, they said during beta they will consider it for a post-release patch or expansion. If you could create army templates and allow the army to keep itself built up to that with reinforcements, it would be awesome. The UI would need slick designs for quick and easy template creation, and yours looks pretty good. I think it would cut down on micro too, particularly for armies with very specific purposes and capabilities. Right now you prett much just drag-select all the units in the area, form and army, and hope enough of the units in the army actually do what you want them to to complete the objective.

yep. I will love to have that option.

I would like the option of controlling where the units come from. Right now when you order units using your army, it is an open offer to every factory you have. It does not consider things like distance and travel time, what enemy forces it needs to travel around, and whether or not you can afford to have all your factories running at once.

I do not use reinforce at all for this reason, it is unreliable. The most amusing fail that I had was when I had two armies in opposite corners which had assemblies next to them, I set them to reinforce, and I watched units trek across the entire map crossing in the middle to reach their respective armies.

Yea, I completely agree with you on this. I would love the option to "leash" factories to a battle group or Dread. That and I would love it if we could disable a factory from producing units on meta units.
