im wondering if i will be able to max out all settings and play at 4K resolution.   Here are my specs:  

i7-6700k @4.0ghz

32GB DDR4SD

GTX980 4GB

You'd hope you could play anything with those soecs.

 

I have essentially the same and using the 'real time' Resident Evil 5 benchmarker I average 250.8 fps.

Of course....my game of choice is FSX ....and that will stall anything you throw at it...[it doesn't understand modern machinery].

What resolution? At 1080p you'll be happy.

If you click on the Metaverse tab next to Forums in the AotS forums you can browse benchmarks.

You can filter by the quality profile and resolution setting you want to look at (eg Crazy 4k), then you can click "More filters" and select the GPU that you want to look at.

If you look at GTX 980 for Crazy 4k, the average for users with a 980 GPU is 28 fps. This can however be skewed in some cases as it doesn't properly filter out multi-GPU systems. You would expect to get much better frame rate at extreme or high quality profiles.

If you want to max out graphics at 4K then you'd likely need two 980s.
