Regional Governors

With My Insane map I already had enough planets.

After some conquers and people surrendering to me I have a load of planets.

I need to be able to place governors over an area/group of planets or I will loose it.

This is only happening since I am playing sim GC after winning an Alliance.

There is going to be a 'large empire UI' update coming in the next few weeks. Hopefully it will mitigate some of the micro you are unhappy with.

 

Personally I just go through each planet and cue up buildings on each one all 124 of them. This is part of the game which has been a hallmark of 4x games but some folks dislike it. There are Governors you can assign but again you need to assign them one planet at a time.

When it gets above 80 planets plus all the ships and starbases it can get tedious. Especially when you direct control all.

Yes it is fun for those that like multiple things to do. Even though it can be a bit much at times. On this train some would be turned off by doing all that micro.

The most time consuming is when someone gives you all their stuff and it take 40+ min to get it straight.

Like you said the large empire UI update will hopefully help.
