Windowblinds - transparent menu problem

Ever since the W10 anniversary update I've had an issue with menus being 'missing'. I would click on them and nothing would appear. This affects some fly-out menus added to the start menu, and similar menus added to the taskbar.

I've recently realised this is a Windowblinds problem and the menus do appear, it's just that they are transparent. When I uninstall Windowblinds, the menus behave normally.

The menus did show when there is a window open on the desktop but the latest beta has broken that.

First image:

You can see where the menu is from the shadow.

Image 2:

Taskbar toolbar for 'Programs'. You can see the shadow of the menu on the top of the taskbar.

Image 3:

A different menu with no skin applied. Same issue. Only when Windowblinds is uninstalled does this menu show.

For me, this makes my system unusable. Those fly-out program menus are the only thing to me which makes w10 (and/or W7, Vista) user friendly. I hate the post XP start menu and its clickfest.

At the moment I'm having to live with Windowblinds uninstalled. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you uninstall, reboot and then install the WB 10.49 beta?

That is exactly the same problem with "favorites". The pictures are correct. I just checked "favorites" none of the other fly out menus were checked.

Yes, uninstalled, rebooted, installed 10.49, rebooted. Uninstalled Shadow FX and WindowsFX, rebooted. The issue persists.

Yes - several times. This problem was also in the previous version. I've had this since the W10 anniversary update.

Including with WB 10.0.7?

Not sure...

The last version I have uninstalled was dated (download) 18/03/16 - it doesn't have a version number on the file. The one before that was 10 10.0.01

I too can confirm the same issue happening on my system.  Strangely enough, if I change skins several times, or sign out & sign back in to Windows, the menu items will reappear.  But, not all the time.  It's very frustrating to say the least!  It should also be noted that I have a second quick launch setup as a menu within my taskbar and it too has the issue.

I can confirm this problem as well. At first I thought Start10 was the culprit. Apparently, I was wrong.

What skins are you using as we cannot reproduce this on our machines.  It was a problem in the earlier WB 10.4xx betas, but 10.48 beta should have fixed it.

I used "Willow", "Real Wood", "Nappa", "Leather", "Harley 3" and others.

I am using RIP 2007.

Running WindowBlinds 10.49 beta.

Running latest beta of WB on latest updates to Windows 10.  Skins with issues:  Real Wood, Leather, RIP 2007... and I've even seen it happen with ICE and EVA a couple of times; but, they seem to be working fine for me tonight.  I do not have any other customization software running.  EDIT:  Well, after restarting my machine, I cannot get ICE or EVA to work either.

It should be noted that if there is a window over the desktop, then the menus appear.  But, if there is no window, the menus are transparent.

It does it without a skin loaded. Only with WB uninstalled does the problem go away.

I had this with the previous version.

Just tried installing (rebooting) and uninstalling (rebooting) previous versions to see if that removed any older files which might be causing the problem.

No change. Menus only appear when another window is open in the background.

I believe this may be fixed internally now.  I think if the skin has blurred frames the problem did not occur.

Will this be in the next update?

Yes.  I sent you and one other person a test set of files to test via private message.  Did they work?
