Original edition of ashes: there are many unfixed bugs in my game's campaign mode

I don't think many people play the campaign mode, but I do believe that those things that have seriously affected the gameplay should get developers' attention.

 Dear developers, as a foreigner for you I'd like to give a few suggestions about bug fixing in the campaign mode.

I loved the campaign mode for it gives me a general idea of the game and serves as a good training partne. But all this time when the game keeps updating I found that most of the enhancements of the units and the orbital abilities have been installed in the campaign mode whereas some adjustments remained still. This has caused serious effect on the gameplay for it has become very unbalance! For example, the orbital ability "drone swam" could only be sent to friendlay power generators and stay invincible until the limiting time runs out, but now,in campaign mode, it is still invincible and ignores any anti-air weapons. What makes the matters worse is that it's location limitation is removed like in the multiplayer mode, which means only the enhancements are installed and the shavements aren't!

Sencondly, the destrutors! the destructors! the destructors! I can't resist to repeat it three times for that is god damn too horrible! It can still attack ground units, with 133dps and 1.4km's range. There is no more easy or normal difficulty in the campaign mode since that artillery unit can destroy all defence structures and units. Several that things can wipe out an entire higher ground! I can never live to see the day I finish my campaign unless you guys change some codes. So please, help!

Hi,

 

Which missions are you struggling on?  It may help if you are more detailed and specific.

 

I have played through the campaign and didn't come have the problem of only being able to put down a drone swarm on a power generator or being invincible/ignored by anti air.  Was it a particular mission?

Not some specific mission actually, I just came across that problem sometimes. And you know the game doesn't have a "reliable" auto saving system like some other games. So I had to restart from the a distant save. I tried the last phc mission in chapter one lots of times and got ruined by drone swam some times. Every time I forget to get orbital jammer keep pace with my army I get severely punished by those tiny little things. And I found them much tougher(invincible ) than what's in the multiplayer.

Since not only one person said my decription was not what's going on for them. I am reinstalling the game now, probably a local problem here.

The game saves every 3 minutes IIRC.  Thats reliable in a timing sense.  Make your own saves, which for any type of RTS is a must to avoid such problems.  Yes the AI will love to bombard you with orbitals, the later in the game you go.  You really must make use of orbital nullifiers, or don't sit on the power generators without orbital nullifiers.  The AI will only put down orbitals on the power generators.

 

When the mobile nullifier gets fixed and also added to Ashes it will be less of an annoyance.

I had the same problem with Destructors in the base game.  Two of them can roll up a mass of Smarties.  I think it was due to a late change, right before the release of Escalation.  IMHO it badly upset the game balance - but I am new to this, and Escalation brought Artillery Posts which help PHC resist.  So I've been playing that.

 

EDIT - I see in the second of these threads that the devs are going to fix this in the base game; great!
