Want to find other players to play with in Escalation?

Download the Escalation Browser. When in your system tray, it will turn green if number of eligible players grows.  You can also chat with other players who hang out as well.

Note: Steam must be running in order to use Escalation Browser or you will get a "SteamAPI failed to init" error.

Is that an update to the: 

MULTIPLAYER: Escalation Browser from the 21th Dec (https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/481111)?

The old browser still works for me, but the new one I can't start, it says something like: "steamapi failed to init".

Any ideas?

of course i am sure, that the steam client is running. the old browser is working and my steam client is always on. 

i sometimes log off the friend list (the chat system of steam). could that be the reason?

I tested it. It doesn't matter to my failure if I am logged in my friend list or not. I am just gen in a Escalation MP game and I am still getting this error.

I just tested it and get the same API error.

Does this just work for ranked or does it show custom games open? That would certainly be useful.

If you get a "SteamAPI failed to init." message, please make sure you have Steam running before launching the browser. We'll make sure to add a more informative error message.
