Just read the February 2017 newsletter, and was curious about the little piece on handles. In particular, the part about "bring up task manager (ctrl-shift-tab), go to Details and then add the Handles column." I've never opened task manager with anything but ctrl-alt-del, and ctrl-shift-tab doesn't do anything in Win 7 on the desktop. Given that there's no Details in task manager, I'm wondering if you're referring to something else? Or am I missing something even more obvious? [e digicons]:blush:[/e]
Hmm, I am running windows 7, too and wanted to check:
- open the task manager as usual
- go to the processes tab
- I am not exactly sure what's the english wording (I run german windows) but in the top bar, you see something like "data - options - view - ?"
- open "view->choose columns"
- check handles in there
handles should now be displayed alongside ram-usage etc.
I guess I will have to check this after a longer galciv3 session at some point
