Update to 2.2 Opt-in

Love the changes so far! As a newer player who wasn't totally familiar with the previous balance the new stuff "feels" better and much more intuitive to me. I am having a much easier time beating the AI now without intricate knowledge of counters and build orders.

so far youve screwed up MP with opt ins, hell I cant even chat in the lobby.. WTF?? I am patient, but that is about used up.. I never even try MP anymore.. 2 versions of the game and I have the one no one else seems to have? WTF.. Cant find 2.2 WTF?? JHC you wont be satisfied till you destroy any community we had.

You do realize that the current 2.2 is still a beta and can come with some minor dysfunctions...

That's like buying an early access game and then complaining that it's not working as a full release title should be. 

My bad, I double posted. Removal is appreciated. I can't seem to do it. 

No it isnt since half the people in MP are running it..

And I did buy early access, bought all the3 DLC, so I am entitled tio be annoyed.

All I want is a link, I found one but its a GoG link? and wont work for me.

if u looked through the posts and did a wee bit of research, u would also have access to the same versions "everyone else is using"

either play the standard game.. or go to steam >> AOTSE (properties) >> beta >> 2,2

if u did even a little research instead of demanding things u might have already realised how to access 2.2

i do agree the 2.2 is killing the already small community of MP...

Opt-in means you access it via the beta tabs on your steam game properties.

I finally got it, was odd I couldnt find the info searching steam.. So actually I was mad at steam more than Ashes.. But my MP comments still are valid.  Two or more versions about cause mayhem in MP. How many times do you see anything more than 1v1?  How about a compromise?  For MP you must have the opt-ins?  The mp community is small, but this would at least have all mp players updated to latest version.

I did research, for a week. I searched steam and the only beta it offered me was steam client beta. So I was mad at steam more than ashes..  Was stupid all around..

Not to worry, the 2.2 patch will be launched tomorrow.

Anyway, sorry for my annoyance. Now on 2.2; it feels more intuitive. The unit balance feels better. Seemed before some units were just too tough or too soft.. Strat bombers do die a little faster but still effective.. PHC base fighter is still gimp, but that is intentional?  would be nice to have an advanced fighter to counter the bombers..

Oh, did have a late game crash vs 5 AIs. I had approx 15K units..  Ive had this crash before 2.2 so dont think it is from the patch. Happens once in a while it seems.. Not every game. It could have a relation to number of units? Ill have to see if it happens again. 

8320, 16gig ram, gtx950 2G.  I did lower graphics a bit, but defaults I get like 29 fps, so tweak a little to get it over 31 avg.

ur welcome no wonder people dont help each other nowadays if thats the response they get...

Hey Ive been using steam forever, and never knew how to sign up for the betas. Never found it explained, and only reference I found for opt-ins was steam client betas..  IDK, I just couldnt find the answer, and just got frustrated..

But I like the changes in the patch..
