So fun to be golden rank, nooot...

So, after climbing the ladder for a while i finaly got to the golden rank, dont know what its called

Was kind of happy, it felt kind of cool, but now i relazied that its not fun at all...

First, i thougt something was bugged with the que, so i canceld the que and requed, but that didnt help. Didnt get into any game...

 

I think this is sad, because i like this game a lot, even thoe it got some flaws but many of them is getting fixed in the next uptade, and i dont really feel like sitting in ques for hours to get into one game

 

Hope you can fix this in some way, maybe let peopel play across diffrent servers or something.

Havent been playing for about 2-3 week now, and thougt that i where going to try agien...

Start the search, but still i am stuck in a never ending search que...

Plz do something about this, or atleast give me the oppurtunity to leav my rank so i can start playing the game agien

Relax it is not so much about gold rank, just that you played on wrong time, that has happened to me on non gold rank aswell play on right time and you will be fine. Also gold is mostly BS just play a lot and you climb the ranks easily but I and many more will still kick your ass . A new elo system had been a lot better but I guess the devs has better things to do like naval and vulcan

And I would also advice you to get on discord

Yeah, but that's like 5-15% or something even that system is not that good, I beet neinhalt each time I have met him, he is rank 2 or 3 (of gold) I think, and well he has played a lot which means his elo represents well hours invested and not true skill. While if i meet callum (ggthemachine) it's pretty dam close now and he is just top 10 I think, point is, the system is crap, and to make it efficent it need to include all players in the elo system for a start. Since for the rest 95-85% 1-10 ranking is kinda crap....

 

To get high up in the system just play consitant and a lot and you will get up faster and a lot over better players aswell, since most gold can beet noobs farly easy and mayority is worse means play a lot, you will meet noobs more often than golds and you will more often end up in a big plus in the elo system than a minus

not that it really matters.. but if this really is Elo, then every time u beat nein, u should be raking in big points, and he should be losing a bunch. but i doubt its actually happening.. also how can an Elo player face off against the non Elo guys (rank 1-10 ladder) how does it determine the points after that? i agree everyone should be Elo.. from newbs to vets..

either way this doesnt change the fact that the game is still purging MP players... and being a high level player makes it harder to find games since u arent facing AI anymore... or ur stuck facing the same pool of players during certain periods..

I dont know why you have to say that you and many more will kick my ass? Ofc you will, cuz i havent played the game enough too get good at it, and i cant play it either becaus i been sitting in 40min ques with out getting a single game, so im just wasting my time waiting.

And even if i were really good at the game, or a noob as i am now, it doesnt matter becouse my 40min que times wont change anyways...

 

And what about the discord?

I don't have the link for discord but check out thread called game event or what it is called, there you find it, also play when other play around 19-22 I guess CET and some other times there is the best chance to find games but it can be days where it's realy hard to get many matches. Also that with kick your ass was a way too say gold rank does not mean much at all.. . Like the ranking is mostly BS

That is really strange. The first one I thought was just bad timing but now I think there is probably a bug or something. I have been having no trouble finding games lately and I'm Gold. Being Gold doesn't actually matter anyway, the restrictions for matchmaking are lifted after a few minutes of searching and not finding an opponent at a similar level. 

To double check, you are not running any beta opt-in?

I think i found the problem now that you said that... I bought the game trough "GOG" and after dowlading the game through there launcher i made a short cut. But when i press the short cut, the game seems to start without going through the launcher and therefore not checking if there is any uppdates. Just started up the launcher, and it started downloading files to the game instantly, so ill try now and see how it goes

Thouhgt i already tried this, but i guess not...

Aye, it is certainly a shame, especially for a niche game with a small community. Though it is not a Stardock issue, it is a GoG and Valve issue. The only way Stardock could unify them is if they ran their own global back end servers. 

Looking at your match history I'm afraid you are definitely not playing the people in the Steam pool.
